On 4-24-13 at around 5:00 pm the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a 14 year old male subject who had walked away from his home into wooded acreage in the area of the 1900 block of Reeves Road in the Excelsior area of Sebastian County. Communications deputies were also informed the child was autistic.
Deputies responded to the scene and immediately began a systematic search of the area. Sebastian County Rural Fire Departments and Sebastian County EMS were also dispatched to the scene to assist in the search.
After approximately two hours the 14 year old male subject was located about two miles from his home. He was returned home safely and the young man was not injured.
